The Tarawa Creek is an important tributary. It leads into the Waiaoweka awa and then straight on out to Pakihikura and on it goes to our moana. Our kautawa runs through town. It is polluted. We are doing something about it. Collectively we are organising and ensuring that our awa is given the aroha it deserves. By restoring the mauri of the awa, we can restore the mauri of our community.
